James is a qualified accountant and tax consultant. He is the principle of his own tax consultancy practice in Cork and deals with clients from all economy sectors and provides professional tax advice under all tax heads to his clients.
James has been lecturing for the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Taxation in Tax for more than ten years and has also set tax exams for both Institutes.
Brendan Casey is a retired senior civil servant from the Department of Social Protection. Prior to retirement he had responsibility over all aspects of ‘PRSI Class’ determination.
Currently, he provides specialised advice on PRSI liabilities and PRSI Refunds governed by the legislation of the Department of Social Protection to clients, specifically the accountancy profession. He also provides lectures on all aspects of PRSI.
Padraig is Tax Director with Mazars. He previously worked with Deloitte and BDO where he provided financial and taxation advice to private clients, business owners and multinational companies. Over the course of the past 12 years, he has written and lectured extensively for a number of professional bodies on taxation matters.
Mark is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and the Irish Taxation Institute. He is also a member of the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies – Ireland (CCAB-I) Taxation Committee and he is chairman of the Tax Administration Liaison Committee (TALC) Capital committee. He was formerly Tax Director with Grant Thornton where he worked for eight years.

Michael is the principal of his own company MG Smith & Co. He has over 25 years of tax experience and has held a number of senior positions with top Irish accounting practices.
He has significant experience advising on business start-ups and reconstructions. He has lectured and written widely for Chartered Accountants Ireland, the Irish Tax Institute and other professional bodies.
Having worked with a portfolio of personal and corporate clients as a tax consultant since the late 1980’s, Brendan has gained a diverse experience with particular expertise in property structuring, tax-based investments, corporate restructuring, estate and succession planning.
